On race day your phone does three jobs: it's your check-in pass, your timing screen and your window on every heat.

Your entry → QR

Check in with your QR code

My QR Code shows your name, bib and categories. Show it at the desk and the organizer scans you in. The same code is in your registration email.

  1. Open the event page
  2. Tap the QR button next to Manage entry
  3. Turn the screen to the organizer
  4. Collect your bib

A red line under the code means your waiver or details are missing. Tap it and finish them before you queue.

Who will win?

Call the winner of every race before it's run: one pick per discipline and category. The crowd's split stays hidden until you've picked, and nobody ever sees who you backed.

Event page → Who will win?

When it closes

Picks close once the final is up. Afterwards you'll see You called it or Not this time.

Championships

Call the champion of each class, too. A title closes once nothing left in the season can change it.

Reminders

About a week before a big competition you get a Picks are open reminder. Choose which races in Notifications.

Before qualifying

Practice times

When an event times its practice, Practice appears first on the Racing stage rail. It's the same board as qualifying: every run as a column, ranked by your best time, your own row highlighted.

How the times get there

From the timing at the finish line where the event has it, or typed or imported by the organizer. The board updates live for everyone.

On your phone

With Live times push on, each practice run reaches you as you finish — “Practice best · 1:02.519”, or “Fastest in practice” when nobody has gone quicker.

It doesn't count

Practice never touches results, stats, seeding or your rating. The one thing it can do: an organizer may set the qualifying start order by Practice times.

Qualifying sets your seed

Open Racing for the stage rail — Qualifying, Race to Qualify, Ladder, Hybrid or Knockout, whichever the event runs. Your own row is highlighted, with your best time, the gap and where the knockout cut falls.

Live times

With push on, your time arrives seconds after you cross the line: You're P1, New best.

Your card

Your qualifying card shows your place in the field, the gap to the leader, and the gap to another rider in metres.

The whole field

The distance-gap drawing shows the top 3 for free. The whole field — and how each of your runs placed you in it — is Premium.

At the start

When do I go?

On a qualifying or practice board, the Start list card shows who is Next. Open it for the whole order of this run: bibs, the times of those already down, and Still to run. More than one run? Tap one to see its order.

Who sets the order

The organizer: by bib, by name, by R4W rating, by times so far, by Practice times, by a random draw or as their own list. The line under the run says which; with nothing set it is usually By bib, lowest first.

Where the time goes

Sector splits

When the timing reads lines on the course, every run on a qualifying or practice board gets a coloured strip of sectors — between 2 and 4. Nothing to switch on: they appear as soon as there are splits.

Purple and green

Purple is the Fastest in the field, green your Personal best. A hollow dot is a Line not read.

Tap a run

The run's sectors against the fastest and your own best, then every run of yours side by side — with speeds when the organizer has drawn the course.

Ideal run

Under the board, the field's best sectors added up. In your sheet, Own ideal adds up yours — and shows how much is left in it.

For reading only

Splits never decide anything: only the finish time ranks you. They're free for everyone.

Heats and the knockout

In the knockout you race 2, 4 or 6 riders at a time, and the top half of each heat goes through until the final. Switch between Rounds and Tree, and tap any rider for their card.

DNS · DNF · DSQ

Did not start, did not finish, disqualified. A DNF or DSQ still counts as a start; a DNS is not scored as a result.

Consolation

Some events run a consolation heat for the semifinal losers, to decide the places behind the podium.

In a heat

Penalties and false starts

In heats — knockout, race to qualify, hybrid, ladder — the judges can penalise a rider, and the organizer records it on the heat. The place you keep after the penalty is your result in that heat. There are no time penalties.

Race penalty

Moves you back from where you crossed the line: usually 1, 2 or 3 places by level. Shows as −2 beside your name. It never puts you behind a rider who didn't finish.

Disqualified

A conduct penalty is a straight DSQ, marked CONDUCT; PEN is a DSQ for penalties. A DSQ still counts as a start.

False start

The first is a warning, FS1 beside your name. The second is a DSQ, shown as DSQ · FS.

Heat Insights

Every heat has an Insights button: a prediction before it runs — each rider's chance from qualifying, heat wins, head-to-head and stage form — a recap after, and a forecast for heats whose riders aren't known yet.
